How it works
- Finish the spec
Source works from the active project — ideally after Price and Optimize, so suppliers quote the pack you actually intend to buy.
- Pick the sourcing mode
Request the finished pack from converters, or source the constituent materials directly; filter the supplier directory by country and sort by fit or price.
- Send the RFQ
The structured payload — spec, quantities, target dates — goes out through the Trade Exchange. Every finished-pack RFQ also registers as material demand on the indices.
- Compare index-benchmarked responses
Supplier quotes land against the same live PackIndex value you costed with, so at-market, below and above are instantly readable.

Does sending an RFQ cost runs?
No — Source is the only free stage. Creating specs and deriving costs consume runs; sending the resulting RFQ to suppliers costs nothing.
Who receives my RFQ?
Relevant converters and material suppliers on the OPN Trade Exchange, filtered by your material, region and country selection. Active demand is also routed to matching suppliers with automated follow-ups.
Can I source just the materials instead of the finished pack?
Yes — switch to material sourcing to RFQ the substrate lines of your BoM (board, resin, film) directly, each benchmarked against its live index.
How do I judge whether a quote is good?
Every response is positioned against the live PackIndex benchmark for that material or format, so you negotiate from published market truth rather than an opaque counter-quote.
