What it does
Paste a supplier quote and the Quote Analyser maps each line to the corresponding PackIndex L3 index, computes deviation from the live benchmark, and returns a verdict: Sharp, Competitive, High, or Overpriced. Lines more than 8% above index get a negotiation brief with market evidence.
Example use case
A procurement manager receives a corrugated box price increase letter citing "raw material cost pressure". They paste the quote into the Quote Analyser — it compares against the PackIndex CORR index, shows that OCC has actually eased 3% over the same period, and generates a counter-argument with supporting data.
Frequently asked questions
What data does the Quote Analyser use?
It uses live PackIndex L3 indices — updated weekly from verified market data and contributor Pulse signals. The benchmark is the current week's index value for the relevant packaging category.
What formats can I paste?
You can paste a table from a PDF, a CSV, an email, or raw text. The agent extracts line items, quantities, and unit prices automatically.
What is the "Overpriced" threshold?
Lines more than 8% above the live PackIndex benchmark are flagged as overpriced. This threshold is configurable in the input.
